So the Chinese New Year is fast approaching – next week in fact! And one of our favourite Chinese restaurants in Melbourne is going to be celebrating in their own individual and uber stylish way. On the 31st of January, if you’re lucky enough to be in Melbourne, or if you want to fly in for the day –  David Zhou of David’s restaurant will be preparing a truly traditional Shanghai feast for all the senses.

Mad about the place as we are, we have to admit to being a little bit under David’s spell not only for the Gong Bo Chicken but for the eclectic charm of the interior dining space designed by one of our favourite design firms Hecker Guthrie. We have not seen a space yet that H & G have not totally nailed – and that we don’t swoon over, we confess.

So for fabulous food, a fun night, and stunning surrounds – it has to be David’s for celebrating Chinese New Year don’t you think?

See you there…
